Tuition
Lessons are usually given on an hourly basis either in the school car or your own vehicle. Our specialties
include:
Material covered varies according to customer requirements and experience.
Basic
A basic lesson entails an introduction to the controls; where they are and what they do. Basic lessons start
off-road and cover all basic manoeuvres; moving off, changing gear, slowing down and stopping, turning and
reversing. Further training is given on the road to cover the correct procedure to deal with hazards.
Pre-test
A pre-test lesson is conducted like a mock-test the aims of which are to bring the candidate up to test level
by making them aware of any faults committed and entails following a typical test route, using the
correct procedures and requirements. Handouts are given to cover test questions and other requirements.
Advanced Training
U-Drive offers an Advanced Training course for experienced drivers only. The course incorporates a systematic
approach to hazards and covers high speed overtakes, negotiating bends and low speed manoeuvres leading to an
advanced test which is recognised by insurance companies offering lower insurance premiums.
